Schmidt Associates’ 50th anniversary is in 2026. Using the tagline “Designing the Future,” the following logo concepts were created to be used alongside the original logo throughout the year of 2026.
Initial Ideations
Refinements
2 logos were selected to be refined. The first logo references the kaleidoscope pattern found in the original logo. The kaleidoscope is integral to their design philosophy, as their three design pillars — foresight, insight, and on-site — act as a kaleidoscope in the design process, reframing and refining the project pieces to create the final product.
The second logo takes inspiration from modern and postmodern typography, as Schmidt Associates was founded in the midst of postmodernism.
Final Logo and Application
This logo is used on the letterman jackets gifted to company employees in 2026.
Animation
The official 50th anniversary logo is animated to include in promotional videos throughout the year of 2026.
